Can I save an item/design without being attached to my Cricut Machine?
Yes, the only time you need to have your Cricut machine attached is when you're ready to cut.
I purchased the software and it is putting extra slices though my cuts...what's wrong am I still in Trial Mode?
This happens usually because the registration code was entered incorrectly.
Make sure to use the number that starts with MTC and that you use Copy and Paste to ensure you enter the code correctly!

Is this software safe for my Cricut Machine?... I spent a lot of money and do not want to break it

Is there an Expiration on the Trial Edition of the software?
No it is a full copy, however it will watermark any SVG you try to export and it will put "slices" though your cuts to render them useless. It is when you purchase a Make the Cut Software License you can then make cuts you can use and export SVG files.
Will this program be available for Mac Users
Right now the only way you can use this on a Mac is if you're running Bootcamp, Parallels, or VMware fusion with a copy of windows running.
Can the creators of the Cricut tell I have used a thrid party software on their machine?
No. Well not unless you tell them.

Every time I start MTC , my firewall asks me if it's allowed to access the internet.
MTC attempts to connect to the internet anytime you open. It is checking for updates.
What is Cricut Firmware and Do I need to update it to get Make the Cut to Work?
Firmware is installed on your Cricut Machine and is stored on your cricut machine for future use... It is like the brains of your machine. As long as Make the Cut Software (MTC) has been programed to run with the current firmware from Provo Craft then it will work fine.
To update your firmware, open Cricut Design Studio (CDS )and got to HELP> Update firmware and follow the directions EXACTLY as they are stated (don't forget to hold the buttons down until you hear a BEEP!) it will automatically update your firmware.
In order to get the newest firmware, you also need the latest CDS Trial no extra purchase is necessary.

Will Provo Craft block this program from letting me use it with my cricut?
From what history has shown us that they have tried to block such programs, but almost immediately the developers have came up with a work around. The creator of Make the Cut has assured us that if they decide to come out with a "Block" he could come out with a work around.

I have Sure Cuts A Lot already will Make the Cut Software interfere with it?
MTC does not block SCAL nor does it mess with SCAL's ability to use the Cricut. They are BOTH using the same firmware on the Cricut.
Do you work for Make the Cut?
No. We are big fans of this software and that is why we make tutorials to show you some of the great things this software can do. Sometimes we get emails from future/current MTC users and they think we work for them. But that is not the case.
